No contraindications have been observed with Kho-Kho syrup.  

Kho-Kho contains fast-acting natural active ingredients like bharangmool & pushkarmool that provide anti-tussive, antihistaminic action which decreases nasal secretion and relieves congestion. Kantakari offers expectorant & mucolytic action which decreases the viscosity of respiratory secretion and facilitates its expectoration. Vishvabhesaj offers decongestant action and relieves nasal congestion to ease breathing. Yashtimadhu in Kho-Kho soothes the sore throat.  

The recommended dose is 3 to 4 times a day depending on age group

Up to 6 months                 1 ml

6 months to 2 years         2 ml

2 years to 8 years            5 ml

Above 8 years                   5-10 ml 

Side effects of Kho-Kho have not been observed, even after long-term treatment if taken as per the prescribed dosage.
